COMMON TUTORING QUERIES
DO I HAVE TO PAY IN CASH OR DO YOU ACCEPT OTHER TYPES OF PAYMENT?
I accept cash as well as bank transfer payments. I can also supply an invoice as a way of a receipt should you need it.
DO YOU HAVE DISCOUNT FOR BLOCK SESSIONS?
I'm afraid that I don't offer any discounts for block bookings as my rates are already at the lowest possible price.
However, most parents still book and pay in block sessions such as per term. Many find this the easiest way to manage the lessons as you don't have to worry.
WHERE DO YOU HOLD YOUR TEACHING SESSIONS?
Teaching is at my home where there is a dedicated home office. There is also the opportunity to link presentations to a large screen to practice presentations as well as everything needed for effective lessons. I can also offer some online lesson although face to face lessons are always the preference as it is more effective.
DO YOU HAVE A SPECIFIC TEACHING QUALIFICATION?
No I do not have a specific teaching qualification. However, I have a Masters degree and lots of experience teaching in a one-to-one scenario. I've been teaching since I was at school, helping teachers in lower classes, eventually leading to my tutoring privately for over 5 years. Please do look at some of the testimonials.
ARE YOU DBS/ CRB CHECKED?
Yes, I have had a DBS check (which has overtaken the term 'CRB check') and this can be viewed upon request by parents/ guardians.
